Sincere message to all the Reds and Brewers fans

Dear Cincinnati Reds and Milwaukee Brewers fans,

Lately, you all have made it a big deal on the fact that you feel some of your ballclubs' players got snubbed from the National League All-Star team and believe it has every little thing to do with both the St. Louis Cardinals organization--and the likes of our former great manager, Tony La Russa. To be honest with you, it is pretty funny, as well as rediculous.

Being as big of a Cardinals fan as I am, I take it to riddance how division-rivals get jealous and envy an organization as great as the eleven-time World Champions--and this current situation right here is no different from all the rest.

Just to make it all clear, La Russa had no decisions in who made the All-Star Game--in fact, it is the fans that make the decisions. With the four Cardinals that made it (possibly five if Freese gets voted in), they are all very deserving. I could go down the list and point out reasons why every player most of you would name aren't as qualified for a spot as they are--but that would probably take to much time. The fact of the matter is that we are defending World Champions, haven't had a team at full-strength since opening day (and that is just with me excluding our ACE Chris Carpenter from the argument completely), and with that, we are still right there fighting for first place--and on top of it--we have several players that are overachieving expectations from many fans and experts all over.

With as rich and historical as our organization has been, the fan base is a little different. Our fan base is actually one of the largest in all of the sport of Major League Baseball--and with fan voting making the decision on All-Star players, it's a pretty obvious gesture to believe that we probably will have more All-Stars--or one of our guys may be the last players in selected over division rival opponents.

I am in no way, shape, or form dogging or trying to "flame" the Reds nor the Brewers organizations--but the fans. We have seen both teams form rivalries with us over the past few seasons--and it makes it even more exciting for when our two ball clubs meet on the field. But then again, we at Cardinals Nation know very well that most of you Reds and Brewers fans are rather quite jealous of the Birds, and quite honestly, envy our performances on the field.

This is basically just a late night rant from an overly-excited Cardinals fan that is more proud of Allen Craig and the team finally starting to look like they are getting back on track, but it's also a way of expressing that I, with many others, believe it's rediculous the amount of hate being thrown towards the Cardinals and St. Louis in general. Every All-Star that we got selected was more than deserving--and I feel that way for more than most of the selections for both leagues.

As the people from Saint Louis say, "I'm from the Show-Me state, you need to show me.". If all the players you feel were snubbed had done just a little bit more, you would have your precious All-Stars that you believe got "screwed". Instead, they weren't--and we are still the defending champs! Good night folks!
